This is the re-vamped version of my "Disney games and more" page. I have removed the Disney from the title, as I didn't want to infringe anyone's trademark. There are also other sites featured here which have nothing to do with Disney and might be a bit insulted.

Acceptance in JoeAnt Directory - should be in there in the next week or so. Waiting for Zeal and DMOZ (Open Directory).

Traffic steadying nicely for the season. 18% returning visits, which is nice.

The xml feed is still up, but nothing new to add to it yet. I have been working hard on Directory submission. This is necessary to get some good quality links into my site, and as far as Zeal is concerned, to get into the Looksmart Directory. Niche directories are trickier to find. Value exchange has only come up with competing sites that there is no point linking to in order to get a link back. I will have to tweak my keywords there and go for a more "parenting" angle I think.

I am waiting for server-side xml functionality, at which point I will be changing the address of the site feed. There will probably be a blogging capability too, at which point - I will add a more site-only blog, keeping this as a general and personal mixture of updates.

Now I have "done" the three directories on my list, I am working on what I have been promising for a couple of weeks or longer - getting more content up there. We have a half-term holiday here at the moment, so my son is busy keeping me busy. I am hoping to have a little more time next week.

Rollercoaster

Remember the bit about nasty shocks? Well, the house sale fell through... so we were starting again. But now - we seem to have another buyer, less than a week later. So the last few days have been pretty hectic. Literally don't know if we are coming or going. The site? Update coming right up...

I have moved house!

Well, put it like this - a week ago we hadn't shifted a thing in our three bedroom semi-detached house, which is still not actually sold, but any day now barring nasty shocks. Today I speak to you from my mother's abode, with a mass of our belongings cluttering up her attic and many a black plastic bag containing as yet unpacked items.

Fortunately, my mother is on the other side of the world - in Australia. Good job too - gives me a chance to do some more work on clearing the clutter!

This means I haven't spent much time on the site. I have been reading up on the next few sections and plans for the site. It's been a matter of ten minutes on the web followed by an hour of sorting, then another ten or fifteen minutes checking in on a few forums, then take the washing out - I'm sure you understand.

My son is taking everything in his stride. Just the usual signs of kid stress. A tendency to say "No" at every opportunity. Harder to settle at night. Sudden silly outbursts. Hmmm - sounds a bit like me!

Aaand here we go again. This is the latest section of the site, and so far I have games for all ages and stages during baby's first year. It took a lot of reading and remembering from a few years ago when my son (now just six) was that young... if I had learned as much over the last five years as he has, I would now be the world's greatest genius!!!

Ideas for First Birthday Party GamesOk, so you know why I am doing this blog. It is to alert Yahoo to the fact that last week when this page was listed, it brought me lots of visitors who then spent a good while perusing the other pages of my site. And now that Yahoo is only listing five of my pages, nobody knows that the site is there. So I am just going to start doing a few Blog-its and will ask for your endless patience and understanding. Mind you, I Blogged my tea party games page the other day, and I have to say - it didn't make the slightest bit of difference. But time will tell.

Busy working, busy playing

Well, today I unplugged my computer and removed all the cables and peripherals, making sure I labelled everything. Although our house is not officially sold yet, with any luck it should be soon (unless we are in for a big shock). So we are moving everything out in readiness. Now I am using my husband's laptop - not my cup of tea, as we say!

I can't get in to edit my feed from the site either. There seems to be a feed called "new topic" appearing, which is a link just to my Yahoo! Quite how that got there I do not know. Still got a lot to learn. But not much I can do about it tonight.

Well, Yahoo still only has between 7 and 9 pages listed today. The traffic is interesting though. Far fewer visitors, but they are looking at lots of pages. So my page views are good, but the traffic is disappointing. Let's see what tomorrow will bring. And hopefully I can put my computer back on line again.

Well, this is a bit of an experiment again. The Yahoo guys have decided to drop half my pages over the last day or so, and this has resulted in a huge drop in traffic. So I shall just see if they pick it up again from me doing a quick Blog This, and shall let you know the results!

On the Google front however, things are looking up. They have added another four of my pages, so ten in all are now listed. However, I am going to have to work hard on my links over the next few weeks to increase my page ranks a bit. A tweak here, a tweak there...

My last baby games page is almost finished, and I hope to be adding that either today or tomorrow.
