Just keeping things rolling along on the site. Traffic steady, pageloads steady.
Just about edited all the pages, taking out the graphics and adding a bit more navigational capability. Menus at the bottom and Go to Top links for some of the games pages.
The babyshower games pdfs are a real headache. I create them in Word then have to "distill" (a bit like whisky) it into Acrobat. Some of the tables and formatting is not coming out as it should and I can't understand why. I have sent one over to my brother to distill, and his turned out fine of course! So I think I may have to beg him to spend a few minutes on that for me.
The funny thing is that Google has now picked up my pdf files, which is interesting - I was just about to put a link to them from this blog, but they got there before me for a change!
I will also have to put a link and graphic to Adobe Reader so that people know they need that in order to download the files.
It would have been nice to have put some Easter stuff on the page, but I want to create a section all about holiday games, and I'm just not ready yet.
Also wondering when sbi are going to put blogging on the site. I'm wondering about having a blog just for online games links, so that I can add/chop/blogthis!/add blogrolling etc so that people have a bit more of a surfing choice. On the other hand, it might mean visitors zooming off and reading my blog and surfing from there when I want them going to my site. However, it might also mean they bookmark the site AND the blog and come back for more now they know where I am.
What's the phrase... give 'em what they want. So what do I call the blog then? I don't want to do it via this blog as this is more about the site building aspect.
I shall ponder this evening. Blog - or a newspage - or all on a newsletter - or both - or all...
